Congregational - Singing of the Shema
Shema means "Hear AND Obey" (or Hear AND Do - "Both"...)
SHE'MA
Shema Yis-ra-el, YHVH E-lo-hey-nu, YHVH E-chad.
Ba-ruch Shem ke-vod mal-chu-to le-o-lam va-ed.
(In an English Translation:)
Hear O Isra'el, YHVH is our Elohim (God), YHVH is One.
Blessed be the Name of His Glorious Kingdom forever and ever.
And you shall love YHVH your Elohim, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. And have these words, which I command you this day, be upon your heart. And you shall teach them diligently to your children, and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you retire, and when you arise. And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand and let them be frontlets between your eyes. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and upon your gates. And you shall love your neighbor as yourself.
(D'varim or Deuteronomy chapter 6 verse 4 and verses following)
Who is like You YHVH among the gods? Who is like You, glorified in holiness? You are awesome in praise, working wonders YHVH, who is like You YHVH?
(Sh'mot or Exodus chapter 15 verse 11)
